Email Notifications - Quick Reference

Note: Email notifications exist at two levelsat the site level and at the company level. You will access the Company-Level Email Notifications page from the Manage Company page.

Buyer Message: Password Changed
This email sends a new password to buyers.

After a buyer clicks Forgot your password on the login screen, enters user name, secret question answer, and clicks Submit.

 

Buyer Message: Self Registration Successful 
This email is sent to buyers who register an account to let them know that they have successfully registered and provides their chosen user name for logging on to the site.

Print Shop Message: Buyer Successfully Registered with your Print Shop
Notifies designated administrator(s) for a Print Shop that a buyer has registered and is associated with the Print Shop.  
 

Print Shop Administrators

When a buyer registers (and is associated with a Print Shop).

 

General Registration Message: New User Registration
Notifies designated administrator(s) for a company that a buyer has registered and is associated with the company.  

Administrators

When a buyer registers an account.

 

Buyer and Administrator: User Profile Modified
Notifies both the administrator and the buyer that a buyer has changed his or her profile.

When a buyer modifies his or her own profile.

 

Buyer and Administrator: User Deleted
Notifies a buyer that his or her profile (account) was deleted from the MarketDirect StoreFront.

When a user profile is deleted from the system.

 

General Message: Rejected User Registration
Notifies a buyer that his or her attempted user registration was rejected.

 Order Management

 

Buyer Message: Order Requires Your Approval 
Notifies a buyer that his or her order is ready to review and approve (for instance, if the order required a manual price quote).

Buyer as Approver

When a buyer is required to approve an order before it proceeds to production.

 

Buyer Message: Order Status Has Changed
Notifies the buyer that the status of his or her order has changed and provides the current status.

Note: If an operator has entered a tracking number in the Tracking # field for the order, that number will be sent to the buyer in the email as a link to the delivery method carrier's site so the buyer can track the shipment.

Print Shop Message: New Order Notification 
Notifies the Print Shop administrator that a new order has been placed.

Print Shop Message: Error sending Order to MIS
Notifies the Print Shop administrator that a critical error was logged in your site software and provides text of the exact error message. Alerts the administrator that the system did not automatically cancel order '[OrderNumber]' after an MIS operation failed during order placement.

When an error occurred in an order transaction (i.e., when an MIS error occurred during order placement that prevents an order from being canceled automatically).

 

Buyer Message: Order Shipment Details Updated
Provides the buyer with shipping status information (that can include a tracking number) for a shipped order. The data included in the notification is pulled from the Update Shipping Status field on the Order Detail page (accessible from the Order View by clicking the Order # link or from the Operator View by clicking the Order Detail link in the job name menu).

When the operator clicks Update. The operator will typically send the notification after the order has shipped but because it is a manual process it can occur earlier in the order process.

 

 

Buyer Message: Order Due Date Changed
Notifies the buyer that the due date for an order has changed and provides a link so that the buyer can view the order details.

Print Shop Message: MIS Data Failure For Order
Notifies the Print Shop administrator that an order with data routed to an MIS was rejected by the MIS.

When a data error has occurred (i.e., when the MIS cannot validate the data for some reason, etc.).

 

Print Shop Message: MIS Communication Failure For Order
Notifies the Print Shop administrator that an order with data routed to an MIS encountered a problem sending the data to or obtaining a response from  the MIS.

When a network communication problem has occurred.

 

Buyer Message: Order Total Changed
Notifies the buyer that the total price for an order has changed. Provides the buyer with the updated total amount for the order.

Print Shop Message: MIS Job Cancellation Failure Notice
Alerts the Print Shop administrator that it is necessary to cancel an MIS order at the MIS manually. Provides MIS job details for the order.

When the MIS has tried to cancel a job but failed (whether the failure occurred on the MIS or on your site).

 

Buyer Message: Order Confirmation Notification
Notifies buyers that their order has been placed successfully. Provides the order number, order due date and time, and a link they can click to view the status of the order.

Product Notification E-mail: Product Inventory Threshold Alert 
Notifies the recipients you specify in the Manage Inventory | Notification Email ID field on the Product | Settings page for the product that the inventory level threshold has been reached for a selected catalog item and advises the recipient to update inventory.

Recipient(s) specified in the Manage Inventory | Notification Email ID field on the Product | Settings page.

When inventory has dropped below the threshold for a catalog item.

Notifies the Print Shop administrator that the status of an order has changed.

Buyer Message: Order Approved 
Notifies the buyer that an order has been approved (i.e., by a designated approver) and provides a link to view order details.

Requests permission to use EFI's AuctionInc account number.

Spending Account Message: Spending Account Limit Exceeded during MIS Job Total Update
Notifies an administrator that the MIS update indicates that the buyer's spending account limit has been exceeded.  

Administrator When an MIS sends the final payment information to your site and the difference between the order total in your site and the order total that is being sent by the MIS is greater than the remaining amount in the spending account.
 

Buyer Message: Background Upload Status
Notifies a buyer who has uploaded a file (i.e., SWF) using the background uploader that the file has finished uploading to the site.

Buyer Message: Order Partial Shipment Details Updated
Notifies a buyer that the shipment information for an order has changed and provides status information.

Approver Message: An Order Requires Your Approval
Notifies designated approvers (Print Shop and/or Company) that an order is pending their approval and provides a link so they can review and approve/decline the order.

Notifies a buyer that his or her attempt to cancel an order was not successful.

Notifies a buyer that his or her attempt to cancel an order was successful.

Notifies the administrator that a buyer has successfully canceled an order.

General Message: Test Email
Sends a test email to ensure the email system as configured is working properly.

Administrator Message: Credit Card Capture Amount Greater than Authorization Amount
Notifies the Print Shop administrator that the order amount captured exceeds the amount that was authorized for the credit card payment.

Notifies the Print Shop administrator that an error has occurred with a credit card transaction.

Administrator Message: SmartStore HTML / CSS Upgrade Conflicts
MDSF UI Template Conflict Notification Email for all storefronts.

Print Shop Administrator

This email is triggered after upgrade to notify administrators of any conflicts in the storefront HTML/CSS. For example, it will be triggered if a customer who has edited some HTML page elements or CSS upgrades to the latest version that has changed versions of the HTML page elements/CSS. The email will provide the administrator with details on the HTML page elements/CSS that will need attention (i.e., so s/he can alert the customer).

Notifies EFI support that a buyer has requested use of EFI's UPS Account ID.

MarketDirect StoreFront Support

This email is triggered when a buyer requests use of EFI's UPS Account ID.
