The Product Import page enables you to import one product or multiple products into MarketDirect StoreFront. After importing, you can configure the products and publish them on the Products page).
1. From the Select Company pull-down menu, select the company to which to import the product/s.
Note: To limit the display of companies, select the number of companies in the Show field.
2. Click Upload file(s).
3. On the Upload File dialog, click Browse....
4. On the File Upload dialog, select a product file to import (i.e., .cpkg, .doc, .docx, .ps, .zip).
5. Click Open.
6. Click OK.
7. If you uploaded a zip file, click Un-zip to unzip the files (thus creating as many products as files in the zip file).
Note: Note that MarketDirect StoreFront assumes that all zip files are FusionPro files. The Un-zip file(s) message will open with the message: “Are you sure you want to un-zip the selected file(s)? If FusionPro zipped file(s) are un-zipped, they cannot be imported as Fusion Pro products. This cannot be un-done.” Choose Cancel or Un-zip.
8. Select the file and (optionally) type a product name in the entry box: .
Note: The product name is optional. When the product name is left blank, the name of the uploaded file is used as the product name.
9. Select the file/s to import and click Import as product(s).
10. On the “Import as product(s)” dialog:
a. From the Select Ticket Template pull-down list, select the product ticket template to associate with the product you are importing.
b. Check the Activate product when importing box to activate the product (make it active in the online catalog).
c. Check the Hide Extension in Product Name box to hide the file extension (e.g., .zip) in the product name (e.g., as it appears in the catalog).
d. (Optional) In the Publish field, click Browse... to select the target category for the product on the Select Target Category panel.
e. Select the target category from the Categories tree.
f. Click Import.
Note: If the product/s file import was successful, you will receive the message (at the top of the page): “X files were successfully imported as products. Go to Manage Products to continue with configuration and set up.” If the import was not successful, you will receive the following message: “There was an error. Please see the Event Log for more information.”
11. To configure and publish the product/s you imported, go to Administration | Products. The product/s you imported will be listed in the products table on the Manage Products page.
