Production Job Ticket

The Production Job Ticket enables you to view the production ticket for a selected job that includes all pertinent information about the job (such as the order details, customer data, the production file to be printed, as well as the various specifications for each print option/service, Operator Notes with production guidance, etc.). You can edit job specifications on the Production Job Ticket.

You can:

         Edit job specifications (modify the job's production ticket)

         Print the production job ticket

production job ticket need to be updated for VAT users i.e VAT users with valid vat numbers placing order will be able to see the VAT number field in the PJT

Editing Job Specifications on the Production Job Ticket

1.        Go to Administration > Operator View.

2.        Click the vertical ellipsis on the job line item and select Job Ticket from the menu.

3.        The Production Job Ticket will open in a separate browser window.

4.        If the job made use of AccuZIP direct mail services, you will be able to download both the USPS document (in PDF) containing the records and the mail data file (in ZIP format containing a mail.dat file) from the Postal File(s) section of the production job ticket.

Note: Note that for processing, you will have to download the Maildata.zip file and then extract the mail.dat file and upload it to the PostalOne! site (https://www.usps.com/postalone/).

5.        To open and inspect the file the buyer uploaded (i.e., as a PDF or that was converted to PDF format)In the File(s) section, click the PDF file name in the File(s) section.

Note: Note that for jobs that are to be produced with tabs you can choose to view a PDF of either the tabs alone or the tabs with all other content in the job.

Note: Note that MarketDirect StoreFront will automatically print the production job ticket as a banner page (i.e., burst page or separator sheet) for all jobs routed through Fiery Central. The banner page will be generated each time a job is submitted to the Fiery output device so that the generated PDF file includes the latest changes the operator has made to the ticket. A link to the production job tickets is included in the commentURL field in the JDF file. The production job ticket PDF banner page is generated each time a job is submitted to the Fiery output device so that the generated PDF includes the latest changes the operator has made to the job ticket. A link to the projection job ticket PDF is included in the commentURL field in the JDF file.

The banner page report file (“rptJobTicketBanner.rpt”) and its xml file (“rptJobTicketBanner.xml”) are stored in the AutoLocalize folder in the CrystalReportsFilesDirectory: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\DSF\dsffiles\upload\[SiteGUID]\Data\Reports\ReportFiles\ AutoLocalize).
Note: For sites licensed for the entity model, the report file will be located in the folder: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\DSF\dsffiles\upload\[SiteGUID]\Data\Reports\ReportFiles\AggregateReports  

Administrators can create their own report file and replace the “rptJobTicketBanner.rpt” with it (so long as the name remains “rptJobTicketBanner.rpt”). Customizations to the banner page are available from the EFI MarketDirect StoreFront Professional Services team.

a.        Click any of the Edit links on the page to open the job ticket and make any needed adjustments to the job specifications for producing the job.

Note: If you make any changes to the specifications you might need to adjust the price of the job accordingly. Thus a reminder message will be shown on the ticket to alert you that you might need to adjust the price based on any changes you make. The message contains a link directly to the Quote Editor where you can make any pricing changes for the job:

6.        Click Close Window to return to the Operator View.  

Printing the Production Job Ticket

1.        Go to Administration > Operator View.

2.        Click Print in the upper right-hand section of the screen.

3.        Click Close Window to return to the Operator View.
